Sheet Metal & Weldment Design
SERVICE 02 / Fabrication-aware CAD
Design parts around cutting, bending and welding.
I design sheet-metal enclosures, brackets, cabinets and welded structures with the fabrication route in mind. Formed geometry, joints and interfaces are developed together so the model and drawings communicate the same production intent.

What I can help with
- SOLIDWORKS sheet-metal parts, enclosures and cabinets
- Welded frames, tube members, platforms and structural interfaces
- Thickness, bend-radius, relief and clearance review
- Flat-pattern development and coordinated fabrication detail
What you receive
- Native sheet-metal and weldment CAD
- Flat-pattern DXFs and formed-part PDF drawings
- Weldment drawings with member identification and weld callouts
- Cut lists or BOMs and STEP exports as scoped
A clear working process
How we work together
- Confirm material, forming route, joining and fabrication constraints.
- Develop the formed parts or frame and review interfaces.
- Prepare flat patterns, drawings and the fabrication handoff.
What to send me
Provide material, thickness, available tooling, bend data, joining method, load/use requirements and any existing drawings or shop standards.
Scope & validation
Machine-specific bend values and tooling must be confirmed with the fabricator. Structural calculations or compliance assessment are separate scope items where required.
